Dayton, Ohio – February 14, 2014 – Beta LaserMike, a leading global provider of precision measurement and control solutions, announces the addition of three new team members to its Americas organization as well as sales territory changes to certain regions. This organizational re-alignment is in line with Beta LaserMike’s on-going commitment to provide world-class non-contact measurement and control solutions to its broad base of customers. The new sales managers will report directly to Bob Stockholm, Director of Sales for the Americas.
Jesse Gallop Named Western District USA Sales Manager
Mr. Gallop joins Beta LaserMike and will be taking over the Western District of the United States, previously managed by Beta LaserMike Sales Manager Ethem Erdas. He will be responsible for the market penetration of Beta LaserMike’s products and services with key customer accounts and target market segments. A key role will be working with Beta LaserMike channel partners to drive continued sales growth in this region. Mr. Gallop comes to Beta LaserMike with twenty-five years of sales and account management experience in analytical instrumentation, most recently working for Thermo Scientific as Senior Sales Engineer. Gallop’s deep knowledge and skills with delivering technical solutions to leading global organizations will be integral to Beta LaserMike’s success in the Western region. Mr. Gallop holds a Bachelor’s degree from California State University Fullerton.
Michael Spurgin Named South Central USA Sales Manager
Mr. Spurgin joins Beta LaserMike and will be responsible for creating new business opportunities and managing customer relationships in South Arkansas, South Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas. This territory was previously managed by Beta LaserMike Sales Manager Mike Cooley. Mr. Spurgin will play an essential role in the development of sales programs aimed at expanding Beta LaserMike’s footprint in this region. Prior to joining Beta LaserMike, Mr. Spurgin served as Sales Specialist for the Keyence Corporation of America. In this position, he was responsible for the sales of industrial automation products including sensors and measurement devices to leading manufacturers and OEMs for more than 7 years. Prior to that, he was the Organization Field Leader for the Southwestern Company. Mr. Spurgin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin.
Rafael Cairo Named Sales Engineer for Brazil
Mr. Cairo joins Beta LaserMike and will be responsible for developing business opportunities with existing and potential customers in Brazil. He will focus on delivering Beta LaserMike’s portfolio of measurement and control solutions for metrology, on-line gauging of rolled products, wire and cable, and plastic pipe and tube extrusion. Mr. Cairo brings several years experience working for Keyence Brazil as a Sales Engineer Supervisor, where he was responsible for the sales and implementation of industrial automation and measurement systems for automobile, petrochemical, consumer, and OEM applications. Previously, he worked for the Equipment and Pipeline division of Confab Industrial SA (Tenaris) as a Sales Engineer. Mr. Cairo holds a technical degree in Industrial Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial (UniFEI) in São Bernardo do Campo, SP, Brazil and a post-graduate degree in Business Administration from the Insper – Ibmec São Paulo.
The following sales managers and their regional territories have been realigned:
• Ethem Erdas Assumes North Central Eastern USA -- previously Western USA District Sales Manager, Mr. Erdas will now be responsible for the North Central Eastern region of the United States. His new sales territory includes Eastern Ohio, West Virginia, Western New York, and Western Pennsylvania. Mr. Erdas will work closely with Beta LaserMike’s network of agents and representatives to drive new business development and sales growth in this region.
• Mike Cooley to Manage Midwest USA -- Mr. Cooley will continue to oversee the Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, and North and South Dakotas regions and will now cover Northern Arkansas and Northern Oklahoma. In addition, Mr. Cooley will be responsible for the metals market sales in Illinois. Previously, his sales region included all of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. Mr. Cooley will work closely with partner Concept Machine Tool and its Metrology division to develop the plastic medical tube extrusion business in Minnesota.
• Brad Robillard to Manage North Central West USA -- Mr. Robillard assumes the regional territory responsibilities for Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Western Ohio. Given the business opportunities in this region and the focus required to best serve key customers, Mr. Robillard brings an exemplary track record of success in the sales of Beta LaserMike’s measurement and controls solutions. He will be a tremendous asset to the company’s base of customers in this region on many levels.
