Experienced industrial sales and marketing manager to lead Southeast Asia channel partner operation for Beta LaserMike’s expanding measurement and controls business
Dayton, OH – February 7, 2014 – Beta LaserMike, a leading global provider of precision measurement and control solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Desmond Goh as Channel Manager for Asia. This new appointment enhances Beta LaserMike’s go-to-market approach to drive alignment and optimization across all partner segments in the Southeast Asia region.
In his new role, Mr. Goh will be responsible for managing and expanding sales channel operations for Beta LaserMike’s portfolio of measurement and control solutions. His key focus is on strategically driving sales and increasing revenues by identifying new opportunities and building on existing relationships with Beta LaserMike customers and channel partners.
“Desmond’s deep understanding of channel management in Southeast Asia combined with his extensive business-to-business industrial sales and marketing background makes for a powerful addition to Beta LaserMike’s sales management team,” said Stuart Manser, Director of Asia Sales for Beta LaserMike. “Desmond has a proven track record of effectively blending multiple sales and marketing strategies into winning programs that drive meaningful, bottom-line results. Mr. Goh brings more than 12 years of business development and sales channel management experience in Southeast Asia to his new position at Beta LaserMike; with more than eight of those years in the sales and marketing of sensor and control products with some of the world’s leading manufacturers. Most recently he was Regional Sales Manager for Snap-on Tools, a leading global innovator of power and professional hand tools. At Snap-on Tools, he was instrumental in developing the go-to-market strategy and leading a regional team and distribution channel to increase sales, profitability, and market share. Prior to that, Mr. Goh was Business Development Manager at RS Components with prior regional sales management positions at Schneider Electric, Carlo Gavazzi Automation, and Honeywell.

Mr. Goh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a post-graduate diploma in Marketing Management from the Singapore Institute of Management. He is also Six Sigma Plus Green Belt certified and has successfully completed a number of sales and business management courses.
