UltraScan with unique patented “Snap Technology” enables plastic pipe and tube makers to capture ultra-accurate, high-speed wall thickness and concentricity measurements
Beta LaserMike, a leading global provider of precision measurement and control solutions, will showcase its latest non-contact measurement systems for plastics and rubber manufacturing applications at the Chinaplas trade fair in Shanghai, PR China from April 18 – 21.
At booth W1H43, Beta LaserMike will highlight its advanced UltraScan measurement system. This ultrasonic gauge uses multiple transducers to continuously monitor plastic pipe and tube wall dimensions, such as wall thickness and concentricity, as well as diameter and ovality. The patented “Snap Technology” automatically sets up the waveforms of all transducers, tracks tolerances to catch wall variations, and provides higher accuracy of average wall and concentricity measurements with assured repeatability. This gives plastic pipe and tube manufacturers the ability to immediately make process adjustments to avoid scrap and ensure quality results.
Beta LaserMike will also exhibit the most recent version of its AccuScan diameter gauge, the AS5000 series. This widely popular laser gauge offers more than twice the measurement rate than previous models (2400 measurements per second) and performs unique facet calibration for high accuracy, single-scan measurement data.
The company will also exhibit its BenchMike measurement system, a bench-top gauge that provides fast, accurate, and repeatable dimensional measurement of parts such as diameter, multiple ODs, TIR, taper, and part position.
Also on display is the DataPro system. This simple-to-operate process controller and data management system continuously monitors product dimensions and automatically controls the line to keep production processes and product quality under control.
